Mona Lisa was earlier known as Antara Biswas who works in regional movies in India. She was born on 21st November 1982 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She was born in a Bengali Hindu family and did her schooling from Julien Day School from Calcutta, while completed her graduation from Ashutosh College affiliated to the University of Calcutta. She has done her BA in Sanskrit. She then started working as small-time TV actress apart from appearing in a few Oriya Video albums. She then remained the part of a number of budget movies in Bollywood like Blackmail with Sunil Shetty and Ajay Devgn.

She then acted in South Indian films as well and got recognised for her roles in films like Tauba Tauba with actor Amin Gazi and Jackpot. She then got a chance to do a couple of Bhojpuri films as well. Some of her south Indian films include Jagadam (Telugu), Encounter Dayanayak (Kannada), Vathiyar (Tamil), Nagaram (Telugu), and Silambattam (Tamil). Some of the Bollywood movies, which she did secure side roles and supporting roles include Aarti, Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence, Ab Bas! Ek Hi Bhool, Jalwa: Fun in Love, Bunty Aur Babli, Bobby: Love and Lust, Half Fry Hyderabadi, Love Guru, Kaafila, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, and To the London Calling to name a few.

She also did several Orria and Bengali films, which include Hamam fi Amsterdam (Oriya), and Jai Sriram (Oriya), Top Somrat (Bengali), Adhikar (Bengali) to name a few. Her recent movie was a Bhojpuri movie called Dulhan Chahi Pakistan Se 2. Some of her other Bhojpuri movies include Ganga Putra, Chedi Ganga Kinarewala, Natawar Lal, Ek Nihattha, Pocket Gangsters, Rakth Bhumi, Prem Leela, Saiyan Toofani, Suhag, Rakhtbhoomi, Sarkar Raj, Jai Shree Ram, and Tulsi Bin Suna Anganwa to name a few. She has done more than 100 Bhojpuri movies apart from the other regional movies. She has also done a Bhojpuri Web series called Dupur Thakurpo 2.

She also has done a few TV shows including Comedy Nights Bachao, Bigg Boss 10, Nach Baliye 8, Comedy Dangal, and currently she is doing Nazar. She has bagged two awards for her TV show Nazar getting Star Parivaar Awards 2018 for the category Sabse Karamati Sadasya apart from getting the Best Versatile Actress from the Cinema Aajtak Achiever Awards 2018. Talking about her personal life, she is married to her old-time boyfriend Vikrant Singh Rajput who was there with her at the show called Bigg Boss house on 17 January 2017 and now she is enjoying her marital bliss.
