Television actress Mahika Sharma has come forward and requested to help lives to recover after being victim to flood. She appealed people to contribute to chief minister’s relief fund for the flood-affected state of Bihar and Assam.

“We all will be celebrating Ganpati   (Ganesh Chaturthi) but people in Assam and Bihar are still victim to nature. As Nature is not in our hands and remembering the statement- All Indians are my brother and sister. So now its time to help our people. I would like to appeal to all my well wishers, friends and everyone to contribute to chief minister’s relief fund so that the government can work efficiently. Many elephants in my state have died because of flood. Please help those who are still alive in bad condition,” Mahika who won Miss Teen Northeast added in her statement.

Floods have wrecked havoc and as per reports, at least 200 people have lost their lives so far.  Central and State agencies are working in collaboration to counter the situation.  A massive relief and rescue operation drive is on in Bihar where the Army, Air Force as well as the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Bihar State Disaster Response Force teams are working in collaborations. Earlier this year, Mahika has not celebrated her birthday and has donated lakhs to the Assam flood relief operations.

“I request to keep Assam and Bihar welfare in your prayers to Vighnaharta. Even I am not celebrating Ganpati as I have also funded the celebrating fund for the relief. But to every visit I’ll pray for helping the victims,” She concluded.

Actress Kajal Pisal who visited The Golden Temple says the place is not only just a religious visit but also a symbol of brotherhood.

“I’m blessed after visiting the place and offering my prayers. The Golden Temple in  Amritsar also popularly introduced as Sri Harimandir Sahib is not only an Indian central religious place of the Sikhs, but also a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. Everybody, irrespective of cast, creed or race can seek spiritual solace and religious fulfilment without any hindrance. It also represents the distinct identity, glory and heritage of the Sikhs.”

Actress Kajal Pisal has featured in shows like “Saath Nibhana Saathiya” “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain ” says the place permits you to speak with the atmosphere. She adds, “Whether you are religious or not the atmosphere inside the Golden Temple is undeniable. There are hundreds of people circling the walkway at any one time yet it was always so utterly peaceful. Over the speakers there is the constant rhythm and chant of the musicians and religious leaders reciting the holy book from the inside of the temple. Yet, this is not intrusive or loud and simply adds to the overwhelmingly enchanting feeling in the air.”

Last seen in Udaan, the actress feels everyone plans the visit to the temple should catch the sunrise and the sunset.

“Visiting the Golden Temple at any time of day is a memorable affair however for that little bit of extra special then try visiting at sunrise and as the sun sets. The Golden Temple looks different at each time of day with its sparkling walls changing colour from the early misty morning light to the late afternoon glow. Once the sun sets, be sure to stick around as the Golden Temple is lit up amongst the darkness; it is something spectacular.”
