Kriti Short Film Expelled from Youtube after Director Shirish Kunder Accused
This is indeed something really strange and shocking not only for the fans but also for the viewers, who actually given some tremendous response for a sizzling short film i.e. 2.5 Million views since its release, under the directions of renowned director ‘Shirish Kunder’ the movie ‘Kriti’ is ‘Expelled’ from mega platform ‘Youtube’ via higher authorities. I know this is actually uneasy to swallow but at last we have to, moreover just to remind those who were unknown about the incident that the director Shirish has been accused of plagiarism by Nepali filmmaker Aneel Neupane, who claims that the entire movie exact or copied replica of his personal short film BOB which was released past 7 months before.
As per the sources Aneel added a post on social media website i.e. Facebook as “Initially, I thought maybe the first few frames, the setting and characters resembled BOB. I thought it was just a co-incidence. I was actually excited to watch a short film starring Mr Manoj Bajpayee (A great actor whom I admire a lot!) and Neha Sharma (whom I’ve had a HUGE crush on ever since I saw her in the movie Crook). As the movie progressed, I was shocked to find so much similarities.” – As per the sources. In response to this the director Shirish claimed that “Allegations are technically, factually and logically baseless, That short film (Bob) was released on May 12 whereas we shot Kriti in February, after which it was in post-production. How is it even possible to ‘lift’ the idea, unless I was time travelling,” – As per the sources, In addition to this the moment some necessary actions took place by high authority people and the film was removed from Youtube, Aneel tweeted on Twitter like shown below..
