We heard and sensed loads of buzz around the movie Jab Harry Met Sejal, however, the kind of collection many of us were expecting seems to be low with this film. The SRK and Anushka Starrer movie has failed to rake the huge collection despite getting all the buzz and attention over the box office. The reviews were mixed, the promotions of the film were high, but the proportion of collection the film has given seems to be dull. After collecting 15.25 crores on the first day, the second day collection for the same went to around the same figure, however, it increased with the coming day.
The film was released in around 3200 screen in the country and was expected to earn big but it didn’t, however, it managed to get a decent figure on its first Sunday giving a decent weekend collection for the same day. The sunday collection for the film netted to around 20 crores, which makes its half century. So, with this collection, the 1st weekend box office collection for Jab Harry Met Sejal netted to around 50 crores, which is certainly a decent figure.
However, looking at the collection, it can be called as King Khan’s lowest figure on the box office. The word of mouth buzz for the film has failed to work for the film. The film was expected to be grown in the first and second day, but it didn’t work for the film. Monday being the holiday on the eve of Rakshabandhan, the film is expected to get an advantage for this extended, hence Jab Harry Met Sejal is likely to witness an upward trend on Monday. For Imtiaz Ali films, the collection suffers since the masses fail to understand his films due to its complexity in the script and story.
