Another blockbuster remake, Hero is the launch pad for Athiya Shetty and SoorajPancholi. It also marks the debut of Salman Khan as a producer. Based on the much-admired love story of Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri, released in 1983 and directed by the iconic Subhash Ghai, it come with a contemporary touch.
Nikhil Advani, who is the director of the movie, has co-written it with Umesh Bisht. To be released on July 3, 2015, Hero is a much-awaited release as it will mark the entry of two star kids. Also, it is a remake of a classic that had launched Jackie Shroff in a fabulous manner and also established him as one of the most successful actors in the industry. The intense love story of the daughter of a police officer and a goon was lapped up by the audience in the 80s. It remains to be seen whether it will be able to create the same magic in this age and times of instant love.
With music by Sachin-Jigar, Meet Bros Anjaan and Amaal Malik, the film promises to bring some magnetic melodious numbers to the audience. The 1983 version boasts of time enduring songs that are still enjoyed by people in great numbers and arouse intense emotions of love and passion in all hearts.
If you have seen the older Hero, you are sure to keep your fingers crossed till July 3. Carrying the weight of hopes and expectations is not easy but Hero fans are quite optimistic that the baby will turn out to be better and bigger.
