Golu aur Pappu is an upcoming Bollywood movie that has Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapur teaming together once again after Delhi Belly, which is slated to be, released this November’14 end. Kabir Sadanand is the Director of the movie. This movie is completely a family entertainer and according to the producers is to be released without any kind of promotions! This was not even informed to the crew and cast of the movie, who were left surprised with the decision. In this movie, one can find the veteran actor Dimple Kapadia to play the role of Kunal’s and Vir’s mother.
Pappu is played by Kunal and Golu by Vir. Dimple according to filmmaker is to reprise character of single mother who hails from Kashmir and loves to educate people on the correct values and would like her children to know about it. Dimple is portrayed as a self made teacher, giving such lessons that she had learnt from her own personal experiences. This movie deals with issues that are taking place in Kashmir along with the thought processes of the people living in such areas.
Negative role in the movie is being played by Deepak Tijori and it is seen to be a real entertainer that is expected by the audience. The director is confident of the movie doing good business in the box office. Golu and Pappu is Bollywood’s own desi entertainment version of the popular Hollywood movie ‘Dumb and Dumber’. In times, when small films also have been getting coverage in the press along with other media formats, this movie is going for a silent release! Kabir Sadanand stated that he also is not kept in the loop when discussions were going on to release the movie. It is only from the movie’s poster that he came to know that the movie had been announced on 21st November, 2014.
