The film Ghazi Attack, produced by Karan Johar’s production house is up for release this Friday 17 Feb. Sans any major star cast except Taapsee Pannu and Rana Daggubati, the film is expected to have a major turn out rate at the theatres thanks to it’s interesting trailers. The film is based on the Indo-Pakistan pre-war era in 1971 when War ship INS Vikrant was launched in order to combat offensive advances by Pakistan through water ways. The film is based on very interesting premises and this is the first time when Karan Johar has come up with such an exemplary plot. The film is releasing amongst other major releases but since it has already caught the attention of the audience, trade verdicts has predicted a good show by the film.
According trade Analysts, The Ghazi Attack might make a first day opening collection of around 12 crore. The theatre occupancy rates are expected to be around 75% in big cities. While in small cities it might put up an average show. The first weekend collection of The Ghazi Attack is expected to be around 24 crore considering that no major holidays are there. In IT based cities like Bangalore, the film may register a good turn out and contribute highly to the collection. The total first week collection is predicted to be around 85 crore for this patriotic film.
The Ghazi Attack has veteran Om Puri in a senior Navy Officer role. This was the actor’s last movie before his death in January 2017. This is Taapsee Pannu’s first release after her last successful film Pink in 2016.
