The much delayed movie now seems to have entered into a legal soup. As per reports, the known company Eros has filed a complaint against the filmmaker Sanjay Gupta for replacing Sanjay Dutt with Irrfan Khan. The reasons could be obvious since Sanjay Dutt is behind the bars and its not possible for him to shoot for the film Alibaug wherein he is now replaced by Irrfan Khan. However, the same report suggested that Sanjay Dutt would be soon  is likely to complete his jail term soon, so there was no need to replace the Munnabhai MBBS actor with Irrfan Khan.
On the contrary Eros was keen on this project only due to the presence of Sanjay Dutt. They had plans to invest big for this venture just for the presence of Sanjay Dutt in the film. The company has nothing personal with Irrfan Khan, but since they are keener to demand Sanjay Gupta and have even finalised the deal with the actor of Rs 18 crores, so at such juncture when the director replaced this man with Khan, the company got furious and soon embarked with this complaint.
The IFTPC (Indian Film and Television Producers Council) are now about to intervene in this issue and expedite on the breech of agreement, which seems to have pitted this case. This movie has been into making since 2007 and still not completed. The movie was supposed to hit the movie in 2008, however, things didn’t really materialize.
