The much awaited Daawat-e-Ishq is finally hit the theaters today both in India and abroad. Directed by Habib Faisal, the movie has Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra as the lead stars in it. Having released in 3000 plus screens in India. The response for trailer and promotion for the movie has been decent, thanks to the aggressive marketing and promotional events, which have worked in its favor giving a good response by the audience. A good number of tickets were booked well in advance for Dawaat-e-Ishq. The occupancy report though were dull in the morning, however, did fair in the evening by 40 percent.
The multiplexes witnessed a good footfalls for this movie but the single screens showcased some poor response . In perspective of critics, the movie has been rated to be an average one, while the word of mouth factor would help in the same to soar further. Besides beings. The weekend would much depend upon how the word of mouth would pick up in the upcoming two days. As per reports, the movie is said to fetch around 4.5 crores, which is certainly less than the expected 7-8 crore as its first day box office collection. The occupancy rate did escalate in the evening. Perhaps the other movie, Khoobsurat seems to be doing some damage.
