Daddy and poster boys

Last Friday, we had two movies that seemed releasing, which include the criminal cum politician movie called Daddy and the other genre comedy film Poster Boys. Though both the films were seen performing the same way, yet it would be interesting to catch the way the movies have performed. Both the films had similar occupancy report along with the same kind of buzz in the media. Well, time not to check each of the movie and the way it has performed all these years. Let’s start with the film called Daddy. The Arjun Rampal opened up with an okay figure on the first day, which witnessed some amount of growth on the second and third day of its first weekend.

The film scored 1.25 crores on the first day collection around 1.75 crore on the second day, while Sunday was the highest with figures reaching to around 3.5 crores. So, the first weekend box office collection for Daddy tolled to around 6.5 crores, which was not the figure as expected by the makers of the movie. The experts feel that it go the same fashion. Now talking about the performance of the film Poster Boys, the film has collected around 1.75 crores on the first day while on the second day, it tolled to around 2.25 crores. The first Sunday for the film has been the highest, which went around to 4 crores. So, the first weekend box office collection for Poster Boys include 8 crores, which has therefore beaten up the collection of the crime thriller.

Well, the fact is both the movies have faced the heat of competition from the previous two movies released on the same day, which include the action thriller movie of Ajay Devgn and others called Baadshaho and the film based on Erective Dysfunction starring Ayushmann Khuarana and Bhumi. All these factors have kept the film away from performing at the higher side giving only meager figures at the end of the first weekend
