Blackmail 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

Blackmail

The film featuring Irrfan Khan called Blackmail so far seems to have gone a decent way over the box office. But it cannot be called as a great collection despite the fact that the black comedy has received a decent amount of buzz in the media. The film had to struggle on day one which was seen increasing the collection to a bit on the second day, similar was the story of the film on Sunday as the collection went to some inches giving the collection another boost over the box office. Yet the overall picture of an average budget film went on a decent way giving an okay figure which the makers can enjoy with the film.

As per reports, the first day collection was simply mediocre with the collection reaching to around 2.81 crore on the Friday, while on the Saturday the collection has boosted to around 37 percent with the collection reaching to around 3.85 crore. The total earnings now seen with the collection on 5.25 crores. The total collection went on a decent note. As per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection reached to around 11.91 crore. The performance of Irrfan has been applauded for his perfect comic timing and incredible collection. The movie now simply requires at this stage a decent word of mouth promotion to do better via the weekdays.

As per the trade analyst, the film witnessed 37 percent on the second day while the third day it went to around 60 percent. The film’s plot deals with a man who finds his wife having an affair with other man and instead of dealing with her in a straightforward way, he chose to blackmail his wife’s boyfriend that makes an interesting plot and with the addition of certain twists, the film becomes interesting to catch at the silver screen. The movie seemed to have done well at the box office and if  you talk about the weekdays collection, it is likely to  impress now, since it has failed to garner the required word of mouth buzz for it. Hence the collection on each day would be on an average of 1 crore each.
