If you talk about the Karan Johar movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania’s performance this week, it has simply earned Rs 1 crore (nett) on its third Monday. It has simply hampered with the advent of the film Anushka Sharma starring movie Phillauri. In fact, it is interesting to see even the films from Hollywood too being hampered the same way the B Town film has been hampered the most. Well, time to dig in deep about this sequel which has seen a decent collection in the current days.
As per reports, the total collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania tolled to Rs 105.83 crore  as reported by leading groups. The Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt-starrer had collected Rs 71.77 crore in its first week and Rs 26.56 crore in its second week. This film marked the third project of super hit jodi of Varun and Alia after ‘Student Of The Year’ and ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. The romance drama released ahead of the Holi weekend on March 10.
The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ had generated tremendous buzz ahead of its release, courtesy its chartbuster songs like the title track and ‘Tamma tamma again’. The film has gone beyond being a conventional romance drama and has addressed issues like dowry system and patriarchy. This has helped to create a good buzz in the media for film apart from giving all round of applauds for the lead actors like Varun and Alia from all quarters for their performances in the film.
