Badhaai Ho enters the highest-grossing film list made in a small budget of all times
As you check the story at Box Office in B Town, the film Badhaai Ho seems going unstoppable in terms of collection. The film has surpassed the lifetime numbers of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer film Stree beating its collection of 130 crore. Last Saturday the Ayushmann Khurran scored more than Rs. 2 crores at the box office as it enters into its sixth week ever since it released last month. The small budget has done a whopping business of 131.45 Cr, which has made it to be among the highest collecting movies in small budget film list.
The experts are calling it to be a solo horse in such kind of race gaining the highest slot in the category of small-time budget movies. It has beaten a number of similar movies like Raazi with 124 Cr, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety with a collection of 109 Cr and similar other movies. In this category, the film seems to be a big blockbuster as it is still going well at the box office. Before this film, only Tanu Weds Manu Returns was among the movie in this category that has gained well scoring around 152 Crore, while Badhaai Ho is seen lagging behind but when compared with the budget of the two the latter seems to be at a better side.
The celebration of the film has been impressive, which was witnessed at Estella with the Harley Davidson Bike Rally. The celebration went to the extent of screening the movie which was organised by Carnival Cinemas, while the key stars of Badhaai Ho including Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, and Gajraj Rao too visited the Citimall PVR to grace the special screening of the movie. Its a big time for the makers of Badhai Ho when big budget movies with the ensemble cast like Thugs of Hindostan has failed to perform at the box office.
