Avinesh Rekhi is an Indian actor working in Hindi television. He plays the role of Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar in the serial Bharat ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap on Sony Channel.  He is presently working in the soon to be launched Star Plus show Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piya ji which is the sequel to the show Diya Aur Bati Hum. Avinesh has previously worked in Bollywood movies. He has worked in a lesser known serial by the name Chhal – Sheh Aur Maat on Colors Channel. He played the character of Kabir Jaiswal in the show. His role in the serial Main Na Bhoolungi on Sony India also got him popularity.
Avinesh Rekhi was born in a traditional Punjabi family on 5 October 1984. His native place is Nabha Punjab. Avinesh grew up in Punjab before shifting to Mumbai. Being a brilliant student in school, Avinesh aspired to be an engineer. He got his engineering degree and ventured onto a job in IT industry. As he was always interested in modeling and acting, it was not difficult for him to make the transition. Avinesh was bitten by the acting bug while he was in college. He bagged small role in the film Dil Bole Hadippa starring Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor. He has worked in the film Ru Ba Ru.
Avinesh’s first break in acting came in the serial Chhal- Sheh Aur Maat on Colors TV. He played the leading character or Kabir Jaiswal. Next he bagged the role of Sultan Mohan Kundra in the serial Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. Later in the serial Main Na Bhoolungi, he played the role of Neeraj Sachdeva. He is presently portraying the character of Akbar in the serial Maharana Pratap.
