Akshay Kumar to do another negative role in South Indian film – Indian 2
The last time we saw Akshay Kumar was in the film 2.0 playing the negative role in it. His innings in South Indian films started with a negative role in it. And as per the recent reports, we hear that the actor is back again to play a negative role in another film called Indian 2. The film has Kamal Haasan in the lead role, and the 2.0 fame director called Shankar will be directing it. The film happens to be a mega-budget venture and happens to be a sequel of a 1994 movie known as Indian. The prequel had Kamal Haasan in it as a lead actor. It was last Tuesday; we saw the makers releasing the introductory poster of the movie, which was released by the makers.
As per reports, the director Shankar has now approached Ajay Devgn for playing the key role in it. However, the actor had some issues with the date and other reasons that made him deny the role. The role was of a police officer in which Ajay could have suited a lot, but as he had his prior commitments, he had to opt out of the venture. Now, as we see Akshay being a good friend of Shankar, the makers were comfortable approaching Akshay Kumar. In fact, they had even talked about their future ventures while making their first venture – 2.0. So, it seems that Akshay Kumar had no reason to reject and now he is the part of the film.
Their earlier venture 2.0 released post-Diwali and it was a big hit beating the earlier mega-budget movie Thugs of Hindostan. The film was a big hit at the box office and it scored 189 crores on the very first few days. All the credit goes to the huge fan following of Ranjinikanth and the even Akshay Kumar along with the excellent VFX and graphics effects. The film had Amy Jackson as well who was liked by the audience a lot. Well, now we see the actor Akshay Kumar doing another Shankar’s film in a negative role.
